Don´t complain that it´s too cold. There can allways to be someone whho understand it in the wrong way.And then you maybe are in in the difficult and awkward situation.
When David Cameron was in Paris and called to the hotellreception and complained that´s too cold
answered the girl:
I am sorry but, monsieur, but I cannot come exactly now.
